What Triggered This Message?:

Your iPhone/iPad has been unable to reach the internet.

Solutions:

  • Verify Airplane mode is disabled/off (indicated by an opaque icon). When Airplane mode is on, you can’t make phone calls, and other wireless functions may be disabled.
  • Connect and verify that your WiFi network is connected and functioning properly.
    • Make sure that your router is on and that you're within range. If you're too far from your Wi-Fi router, you can't get a signal.

    • Make sure that Wi-Fi is on and that you can see your network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap the name of your Wi-Fi network to join. A blue checkmark beside a network name means that you're connected.

    • If iOS or iPadOS detects an issue with your Wi-Fi connection, you might see a Wi-Fi recommendation under the name of the Wi-Fi network that you're connected to.

  • If you still aren't able to connect to the internet, disable your WiFi connection, and utilize cellular data.
    • To turn mobile data on or off, go to Settings, then tap Mobile Data or Cellular. If you're using an iPad, you may see Settings > Mobile Data.
    • To enable data transmission while making phone calls, you will need to enable that under Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE > Voice and Data. Make sure there is a check next to this category.
